Every "no" is also a "yes"

December often sneaks up like a slow-building storm.

One gig turned into three, rehearsals multiply, your time starts to disappear, and before long, you’re swept up in the whirlwind of “way too much going on.”

Ever find yourself wondering, how did I get here again?

It’s tempting to go into automatic “yes” mode. Because you don’t want to miss out. Because you don't want to disappoint others. Because for years, you’ve been conditioned to prove your worth through overcommitting.

I invite you to consider this: Every “no” is also a “yes.”

A yes to your health.

A yes to your creativity.

A yes to the projects that matter most.

So, I want you to try something different as we enter December. Before you say yes to anything, pause and ask yourself—what am I saying no to in the process?

Will another gig pull me away from that project I've been putting off?

Will one more rehearsal mean less rest, less focus, less joy?

Will a quick "yes" to someone else's priorities mean I'm quietly saying no to my own?

Your “no” this season might be the most powerful career move you make.
